“The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.”
― Carl R. Rogers

I believe that we all find ourselves stuck at different times of our lives: noticing certain unwanted patterns, difficulty in close relationships, or struggling under the weight of anxiety, depression, loss, or past trauma. In the midst of such difficulties, many of us feel desperate for relief from these burdens

Thankfully, through continued research, the developing lens of attachment science, and the work of Emotionally Focused Therapy, new insights are available into understanding our emotional experience as well as the impact of trauma and loss on the brain. These models offer powerful and effective roadmaps to understanding and helping individuals with relational struggles, anxiety, depression, loss, anger and trauma.

I believe that as we learn to live more freely as our authentic self, we both increase opportunity to be known and deepen our capacity for closer relationships.
